What is CBSE, Full Form of CBSE?

CBSE or the full form is Central Board of Secondary Education is basically a central board of education system in India. Near about 19,316 schools of India and 211 schools in foreign places is affiliated to the central board of secondary education or CBSE. The private and government both schools are affiliated by CBSE and controlled by Union Government of India. CBSE board uses both official languages Hindi and English for their exams patterns.

History of CBSE:

Utter Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education was the first board of India which was established in 1921 and constituted under central India, Rajputana and Gwalior. Later on, the government of India adjoined the Board of High School and Intermediate Education and Rajputana, Gwalior and central India in 1929. In 1952, the other states get connected with that and it became the CBSE board or central board of secondary education.


CBSE organizes the exams for class 10th and class 12th in the March month every year and results revealed in the middle of the May.
Now the CBSE board also manages the AIEEE exam, which is a test for getting admission for engineering and architecture undergraduate courses and diploma but now AIEEE has merged with JEE.
CBSE also organizes AIPMT or All India Pre-Medial Test, which is for getting admission to the finest medical institutes in India. With that, CBSE also conducts NET (National Eligibility Test) and JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and assistant professor eligibility test.
The optional proficiency test for class 10th and the central teacher eligibility test are also conducted by CBSE. CBSE is counted as the world largest conducting and organizing central board.
An exception of these all exams CBSE also conducts the entrance exam for taking admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalyas.

Key Objectives:

Currently, CBSE has 10 official addresses in all over India and Delhi has the main headquarter of CBSE board. The other regional offices of CBSE are stated in Chennai, Guwahati, Ajmer, Panchkula, Allahabad, Patna, Bhubaneswar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Dehradun.
